Gas and electricity prices became extremely volatile in September as unplanned outages and fears over winter supplies provided support for unprecedented swings in wholesale markets.
UK Energy prices ended August lower as rising Norwegian flows and extra LNG supplies countered rising oil prices and news of the closure of the Rough storage facility in the North Sea.
